Eunice Kennedy Shriver dies: A Memorial

Eunice Kennedy Shriver died today at 88. She invented the Special Olympics in 1968.
She changed the lives of the mentally handicapped: making her beloved and cherished by all Americans.She has a sister who was mentally challenged. Before her time, the mentally challenged were put away in institutions; unable to contribute or have a normal life.
She was awarded the Medal of Honor from President Reagan; the highest medal anyone can receive for theri service to theri country.
Now they can have a normal life and they can compete in a number of sports events at the Special Olympics worldwide!
